Margaret Zuno
Zuno has been selected as Lenape High School’s Educational Professional of the Year for 2018-2019 school year. Zuno has been an employee at Lenape for 17 years and was honored with the award for her work ethic, volunteerism and high involvement at the school. She has especially worked closely in Lenape’s Autism Program, which started 13 years ago.
Tracy Carlino
The senior vice president and chief nursing officer for Virtua was recently honored by the New Jersey State Nurses Association with the “Divas & Dons” accolade for her “outstanding professional career accomplishments.” Carlino is also a two-time recipient of Virtua’s SuperStar award and is a certified diabetes educator. She also coordinated the first ADA-certified diabetes education program, which continues to run today.
Matthieu “Matty” Liebman
The Cherry Hill High School East student was awarded an all-expenses- paid summer study trip to Germany after scoring in the 97th percentile on the Level 2, 2018 National German Exam for high school students spon- sored by the American Association of Teachers of German. Leibman has also been accepted into the MEDacademy at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and is a current member of the Cherry Hill Junior Police Academy.
Ryan Toppi and Kate Appleby-Wineberg
The Glassboro High School students and track and field athletes were both awarded certificates of achievement from the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders in honor of their recent titles. Toppi earned the title of South Jersey boys pole vault champion with a height of 11 feet, 6 inches and Appleby-Wineberg earned the title of South Jersey girls pole vault champion with a height of 9 feet and 6 inches.
Cierra Morris
The Washington Township High School sophomore became the first recipient of the Challenge Coin Award. Morris went above and beyond to aid a teacher in need. WTHS student resource officers Tony Leone and Tom DiTullio began the award to create positive ties between the police and students. The coin represents values like kindness, honor and courage. Students who demonstrate those values will be recognized with the award.
Brianna Wittman
The story of Moorestown’s Wittman— who survived a car accident and overcame severe physical injuries—has been captured in the documentary, Ask. Seek. Knock.— The Story of Brianna Wittman, by Millville- based Glasstown Produc- tions. The documentary has been nominated at the International Christian Film Festival for “Best Documentary” and has screened at the Garden State Film Festival and during a special showing last month at Rowan University.
