South Jersey’s top orthodontist moves to a new location.

Kadar Orthodontics has been creating awesome smiles in South Jersey for decades. In January, Kadar Orthodontics moved  to their new location on Egg Harbor Road in Sewell.

Appropriately nicknamed the Kadar Kabin, it was designed and built to make patients feel at home with its stone fireplace and relaxed ski-lodge atmosphere. “The new office was designed with our patients in mind,” says Dr. Tom Kadar. “We wanted to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere combined with the best technology to deliver optimal results in minimal time.

“We had been treating patients at our old location for nearly 25 years,” says Dr. Kadar. “As we worked through the design process for the Kabin, we listened to our patient’s feedback and created spaces that would ensure confidentiality while offering both private and semi-private treatment areas.”

No one likes to wait, especially us. “We work hard every day to make sure that patient flow is fast and efficient by using our customized scheduling system and advanced clinical techniques,” says Dr. Kadar. With two orthodontists and a team of licensed professionals, Kadar Orthodontics sees 94% of their patients within five minutes of their appointment time. “Parents and teens love our early-morning and late-day appointment times,” Dr. Kadar says. “It makes it easier to schedule their days.”

Technology has evolved too. The braces that Kadar patients now wear on their teeth are more comfortable, efficient and discreet. Dr. Kadar, a certified Damon System orthodontist, likes to use this system because it eliminates the need for elastic ties (the colored ties you see on traditional braces), so there’s less friction and pressure. In addition, special “memory” wires require fewer adjustments with less visits during the year. “By using gentler, more biologically sensible forces than conventional braces, the Damon System assures better tooth position and improved facial harmony,” Dr. Kadar says.

Although 70% of Kadar Orthodontics’ patients are adolescents, the practice also treats many adult patients. Kadar Orthodontics has several options for adults who have always wanted a straighter smile but are not so keen on wearing traditional braces. Invisalign is a popular treatment alternative for both teens and adults. These nearly-invisible clear aligners gently and gradually move teeth into the correct position—a great option for anyone who is worried about how braces will look. Dr. Kadar demonstrates their in-house 3D printer.

The latest technology adapted at Kadar Orthodontics, the Juell 3D printer, takes digital imaging to the next level by revolutionizing the way digital images are captured and used. In the past, if a model was broken or a patient lost their retainer, the patient would have to come back in for another goopy impression. The 3D printer can print a new model and retainer from a saved digital image more precisely and quicker than old-style plaster molds.

With the move to the Kabin, Kadar Orthodontics was able to add new equipment including a 3D cone beam X-ray. This new equipment will enable them to treat more complicated problems like  airway obstructions, TMJ disorders and impactions in-house.

Kadar Orthodontics firmly believes in giving back to the South Jersey communities it serves. Every year, Dr. Kadar and his team deliver educational seminars at local schools and support both local and national charities such as the Alex’s Lemonade Stand, Mothers Matter and Smiles Change Lives. Kadar Orthodontics also awards annual scholarships to current and former patients pursuing a degree at a college or a technical institute.  Team Kadar congratulates the Eagles on their Super Bowl win.

Year after year, Dr. Kadar and his team receive recognition from both peers and patients as being one of the top orthodontists in the Delaware Valley—a distinction Dr. Kadar proudly acknowledges. “In everything we do, we want to be caring and approachable,” says Dr. Kadar. “We encourage our patients to ask questions and strive to make a connection with each family we treat. I think that’s why we often see multiple siblings within a family as well as next-generation  patients. For us, the greatest compliment is when a patient recommends us to their family and friends—that’s when we know we’ve done our job well.”

At Kadar Orthodontics, it’s never been faster or easier to get the smile you really want. Come visit the Kadar Kabin where awesome smiles are created every day. We welcome you to our new home!   Tom Kadar, DDS MSD
